Created for "Whose Waters?" at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, a group show exploring class and privilege in surf culture and running from July 12 to October 20, 2024, Softboard #1 is a traditionally built surfboard which at first glance appears to be a mass produced soft top style board. The piece is hand shaped from a polyurethane foam blank, glassed in 6 oz fiberglass and polyester resin, utilizing resin panels for all the color work, with the fins cast in fiberglass and resin. The stand is constructed of concrete, wire and rebar.

Purchase price includes installation if located in California. Additional shipping and travel expenses will be determined if located outside California. Sale is contingent on the piece remaining available for future showings.
